Please note that workshop space is limited and I do not have space to store bikes, therefore to avoid inconvenience to other customers, bikes are accepted for repair in the strict understanding that they will be uplifted within 24 hours of the work being completed.
Check cycle for damage
Check condition of all cycle parts including chain wear
Check wheels ( hubs, cones, spokes and rim )
Check condition of tyres and tyre pressure
Check cranks, bottom bracket and pedals
Check headset is properly adjusted
Check seatpost and clamp
Check brake function
Check gear function
Road test cycle if possible
Basic Service
Carry out safety check as above, and tighten parts as necessary
Front and rear brake service (not including hydraulic parts)
Front and rear gear service
Check tyres and inflate to correct pressure
Remove seatpost, grease and refit
Check and reposition if necessary brake and gear levers on handlebars
Ensure mudguards, carriers etc. are correctly fitted and tighten if necessary
Basic service as above plus
Dismantle, clean, inspect, grease and reassemble headset
Dismantle, clean, inspect, grease and reassemble bottom bracket
Dismantle, clean, inspect, grease and reassemble cranks
Dismantle, clean, inspect, grease and reassemble hub cones
Check reported faults
Check indexing
Check limit screws and reset if necessary
Check front mech alignment and height, readjust if necessary
Clean and lubricate inner cable
Check reported faults
Check indexing
Check limit screws and reset if necessary
Check alignment of rear dropout if necessary
Check jockey wheels
Clean and lubricate inner cable
Check chain for wear and check length
Adjust lever for reach if possible and necessary
Check position of lever
Lubricate lever pivot points
Check position of ferrule
Clean and lubricate inner cable
Remove, clean, lubricate where appropriate and replace callipers
Check pads and reset if necessary
Adjust tension of springs if appropriate
Hydraulic bleed not included
Strip down hub
Clean and inspect for damage
Re-grease and reassemble
Correctly set cones
Tension spokes
True wheel
Build cycle from flatpack
Wheel build, replacement of hub, rim or spokes
Wheel true and tension (if condition of wheel allows)
Dismantle and replace bottom bracket (face clean if necessary)
Dismantle and replace bottom bracket cartridge (face clean if necessary)
Dismantle and replace headset (face clean if necessary)
Hydraulic brake bleed
